About the Opportunity
The Kommissary is seeking an experienced, hands-on Food Production Manager to oversee daily production activities, maintain quality standards, and drive operational efficiency in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily food production operations, staffing, and workflow.
Ensure production schedules, quality standards, and output goals are consistently met.
Lead, coach, and develop production team members.
Monitor labor utilization, food waste, inventory, and production efficiency.
Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, and quality assurance standards.
Collaborate with culinary, warehouse, logistics, and leadership teams.
Identify opportunities to improve processes, productivity, and cost controls.
Support production planning, training, and operational reporting.
Qualifications
3–5 years of experience in food production, manufacturing, commissary operations, or commercial kitchens preferred.
Previous supervisory or management experience.
Strong knowledge of food safety and production processes.
Experience managing teams, labor, inventory, and production schedules.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
